About the Southern California Genealogical Society
With over 2000 members, the Southern California Genealogical Society is one of the largest genealogical societies in California. SCGS headquarters in Burbank, California, houses a 40,000+ volume genealogy library with resources throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.
SCGS offers several educational activities each month, including its Lunch and Learn, several interest group meetings, and computer user group sessions. The Society sponsors the popular Genealogy Jamboree which will be held June 7-9, 2013. A companion conference, the Family History and DNA: Genetic Genealogy in 2013, will be held on Thursday, June 6.
