Beginner's Class - First Steps
Do you have an interest in finding your roots but don’t know how to start?
Have you tried to find ancestors but had no luck?
Do you have a friend or relative with an interest, but don’t know how to teach them?
The Southern California Genealogical Society’s Beginner's Class - First Steps will be offered Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon at the Southern California Genealogical Society Library.  This 3-hour class is free to SCGS members and open to the public for $10.

The Beginner's Class - First Steps provides the information and skills to begin the search for your ancestors.  The class introduces you to a variety of records and online sources that are available.  You will learn strategies for successful research.  A free tour of the Southern California Genealogical Society Library is available following the class for those interested.

The SCGS Library will be closed for research that day. All participants are invited to attend the Lunch and Learn presentation immediately following the class.
