[CA-SCGS] Going to the Ventura County Fair in August? Genealogy Volunteers Needed - Sign up Today!

A message from our friends at The Ventura County Genealogical Society:

Each year at the Ventura County Fair there is a place where volunteers using the Family History Center's computers set up at the Fair can assist people with an introduction look into the genealogy records available to trace their family history.  Volunteers with a basic knowledge of the Family Search site and other internet resources can demonstrate to Fair attendees how to access the many records that are available.

Each year VCGS has supported the Fair with volunteers to man the booth for shifts of their choosing during the days and evenings of the Ventura County Fair. Volunteers for this year are needed again.  If you would like to volunteer to help staff the genealogical table at the Ventura County Fair please sign up for shifts at: http://tinyurl.com/VTAFairSignups2016

There will be three shifts per day. You can select more than one shift. Each shift consists of three volunteers and one shift supervisor. Please contact Bettye Berg (bettyeberg@yahoo.com) if you need to make a change to your shift, or you have questions. A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers.

The Ventura County Fair will be held Wednesday August 3rd through Sunday August 14th, 2016 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center. For information about the fair and directions, visit the website at http://www.venturacountyfair.org/.

See you at the Fair!
