Bargain Alert: Mocavo Universal Search Free through Midnight 16 Feb

If you haven't tried out Mocavo for genealogical searching, now is a great time to give it a test run.

Our good friend Michael Leclerc, Mocavo chief genealogist and a speaker at the 2014 Jamboree, sent out this message earlier today:

We think Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to say thank you for all of the support you have given us in the last few months. With your support, we’ve kept our promise and launched more than 1,000 new databases every day, all of them free forever. And in the past five months, we’ve added more than 150,000 new databases to our existing collections – bringing our total count to an all time high – more than 255,000 databases!

As a Valentine’s Day treat, we are giving the entire Mocavo Community free access to our Gold-level Universal Search from now until midnight on Sunday.

Read the entire message here, and click the link to search their records at no cost this weekend:

[SCGS-CA] Legacy Family Tree User Group Meeting

Post by Barbara Randall

Legacy Family Tree User Group Meeting:

Monday, Feb. 10, 2014
7:00-9:00 p.m.
Location: Southern CA Genealogical Society Library
417 Irving Dr., Burbank, CA
818-843-7247

Our Theme: "Back To The Basics with Legacy"

This month we will explore all things Searching (maybe) and we will continue to explore Legacy 8. As always, there will be time to practice and review the new skills as well as ask questions. You may want to bring your laptop or tablet to practice the skills and explore Legacy's capabilities.

We might even discuss all things RootsTech that happened last week in Salt Lake City.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, the Legacy Family Tree User Group is a forum to learn the basics of using this software program, answer questions to further your knowledge and efficiency and, to assist others with your expertise. If you are considering Legacy Family Tree, the user group is a great way to explore the program to assist in your decision to use it or not.

The meeting is open to the public and all levels of ability are welcome to participate!

No RSVP is needed. E-mail Barb Randall for more information at barbmran@aol.com.
