SCGS is pleased to announce a tour of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) branch here in Southern California.

NARA
23123 Cajalco Road
Perris, CA 92570
(951) 956-2000

Meet at 11:00 A.M.
In the Lobby

We will be there from 11:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The National Archives and Records Administration is the nation's record keeper of all documents and materials created in the course of business conducted by the United States Federal government. Those valuable records are available to you, whether you want to see if they contain clues about your family’s history, need to prove a veteran’s military service, or are researching an historical topic that interests you.

The Regional Archives (formerly in Laguna Niguel, CA) has moved to a new facility in Perris, Riverside County, CA. This location will better preserve records for coming generations, at more affordable cost to the government and taxpayers. All holdings are open for on-site research at their new research room and are available to the public. We will have a private tour of the new facility. Bring your research and see what you will find. No dangerous items will be allowed.

Please arrange your own carpool. Driving from downtown Los Angeles is 69 miles and 1 hour and 10 minutes away.

Directions: Take CA 60 East toward Riverside, Take I-215 South toward San Diego, Take the Cajalco Expressway exit westbound, Left on Harvill Ave., Right on Cajalco Road to end of street. Meet Charlotte inside in the lobby at 11:00AM.

Please RSVP by March 31, 2011 to: Charlotte at rubymoon01@yahoo.com
