Family Tree Maker 2014 has several dialog forms for entering changes to the names of places: Change Place Name, Resolve Place Name, Replace with Other Name, and the Tree Place List Field. Are you confused about which one to use? Are you not quite sure what will happen?
In the December 13, 2015 meeting of the SCGS FTM User Group we will clarify the strengths and applications of each form and present a simple strategy to avoid unintended consequences.
Also in December - Recently, a custom FTM chart perfectly suited a small project. Something similar may be useful. Step by step instructions will be demonstrated and available in the handout.Bring your laptop - PC or Mac - to the library early and work on your tree.
