Find out about the latest tips for using one of the greatest FREE online genealogical resources, FamilySearch.org, at the upcoming Lunch and Learn on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the SCGS Library in Burbank.
Betty Isbell will present "Family Search 101" beginning at 1:00 pm. She will explore various features of FamilySearch.org including records, books, wiki, and the catalog. You will also learn how to order microfilm from Salt Lake City, which you can view at your convenience using the SCGS Library's new scanner.
In addition to being a long-time SCGS Member and popular volunteer librarian, Betty has served as a Family History Center Director, taught genealogy classes, and worked for a forensic research company locating missing and unknown heirs.
Doors open at 12:00 noon
Bring your own brown bag lunch to enjoy from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm with your fellow family history researchers.
