The SCGS Italian Interest Group meets six times per year and provides a forum for supporting genealogical research using both Italian and American records. The meetings have organized programs on specific topics, and also provide opportunities for networking and helping each other. The group focuses primarily on sources, techniques, and methods of tracing Italian heritage, such as how to find and read Italian birth, marriage, and death records. We also learn about Italian history, which provides a context and background for our individual family histories. The group has something to offer everyone, from beginners to experts and the meetings are open to anyone interested in Italian genealogy.
For a complete list of the Italian Interest Group meeting dates, visit the SCGS Italian Interest Group Page on our website www.scgsgenealogy.com.
