Place Names in FTM Revisited
The session will cover some of the finer points of entering place names, the use of fastfields to eliminate spelling differences and greatly speed up data entry. “Resolved” places in FTM can be displayed hierarchically with sublevels – like computer folders and their subfolders – making it possible to easily list everything in a county, state or even a country. The special Place Detail field allows street addresses and cemetery names to appear under the town and city names where they occur.
Dick will also be at the library by 2:30 pm to chat and provide FTM assistance.
