SCGS DNA Interest Group Meeting Saturday, October 29, 2016
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the SCGS Library

"Visualizing Your Autosomal DNA Results - the Autosomal DNA Segment Analyzer (ADSA)." The ADSA is a free chromosome browser, created by Don Worth and hosted at DNAgedcom.com, that depicts all of your matching DNA segments on each chromosome and lets you visualize triangulated groups using colored graphics. It makes it easier to perform segment triangulation by highlighting groups of your matches who share a common ancestor. ADSA has thousands of users all over the world. Don will describe the steps in segment analysis and talk about how ADSA can be used in conjunction with the tools at GEDMATCH and Family Tree DNA as well as other testing companies to support your genealogical researc

Presenter: Don Worth is a retired Asst. Vice Chancellor of Administrative Information Systems from UCLA. He has been researching his and his wife's genealogies for almost 40 years, is on the executive board of the Ventura County Genealogical Society, and enjoys applying his love of computers and technology to the hunt for his ancestors. He is active in the VCGS DNA Special Interest Group and leads the society's Technology SIG.
