Our Speaker this month:
Diane Henriks
Publishing Your Family Book

Diane Henriks has been researching family history and genealogy for the past seven years. She has researched many of her own family lines, as well as being paid to research for others, and is a member of APG and SCGS. She was asked by genealogists at the Southern California Genealogical Society to publish her works. What started out as a small hobby, has since become a great obsession!

Some of my main family lines: Steinmann/n, Taylor, Hulet, Stubbins, Caesar, Graciano, Gutierres, Baer, Garman, Eddy, Trader, Beveridge, Brown, Murphy and West...and of course many other family lines.  :)

Books I've published from my genealogy:
The Descendants of Johann Adam Steinmann, The Descendants of George W. Taylor, The Descendants of Ira S. Hulet, The Descendants of Samuel Baer, The Descendants of John Beveridge, The Descendants of Albert Murphy, The Descendants of Daniel Eddy, and The Descendants of Cipriano Graciano and Jose Maria Gutierres.

Books I've published from paid research: The Descendants of Ezekial Bee, and I helped compile and publish Just Plain Folk: Descendants of William C. Clark

I'm currently working on publishing The Descendants of Jacob Garman, The Descendants of Abraham Trader, and a non blood relative's line The Descendants of Daniel Riley Loving "Lovan".

The goal of the SCGS German Interest Group is to provide a wide range of resources both inside and outside the SCGS Library to help trace German families. Throughout 2017, our German Group will renew its "Routing Our Roots" as well as present short programs on German Exiles in Los Angeles County, History of German Towns, Human Interest Stories on folks of German Heritage, learning German Words and Old German Script, plus any last minute thoughts.
