The GSHA Interest Group will not meet on Saturday, August 6, 2022, but will meet on August 11, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Topic: “Library of Congress: Genealogy Research from Home, Highlighting California Materials”
A presentation showing how users can do genealogy and family research using Library of Congress materials, from their home computers. The presentation will also highlight some materials relevant to Californians. A list of links will be provided at meeting. The meeting cannot be recorded.
PRESENTER: A J Aiséirithe (uh SHY ree) is a reference librarian at the Library of Congress. She holds a Ph.D. in American History. She joined the History and Genealogy Section of the Library in 2018.

GSHA-SC will be offering their members an online GoToMeeting presentation by Dr. Sunny Vazquez-Ron McMullen, The Contributions of Spain During the American Revolutionary War. Without the valuable assistance of Spain and its most important leader, Bernardo de Galvez, the American Colonists would have lost the American Revolutionary War. Spain contributed valuable assistance to the American Colonists and Bernardo de Galvez won many battles against the British.
